Experiencing hair loss is pretty devastating. Especially it can be embracing for celebrities for some time. But hair loss is not rare. Rather it is more common than you think. A recent study revealed that about 55 percent of women experience hair loss at some point in their life. So, there is no way to discriminate or target specific people for this reason.

Hair loss can occur for different reasons. Excessive diet control or high-volume stress are some common causes of hair loss. Various types of alopecia can also be a reason for hair loss. Nowadays postpartum hair loss and side effects from COVID-19 are some major causes of hair loss.

A recent report published in Harvard Medical School stated, “Almost every woman eventually develops some degree of female pattern hair loss. It can start any time after the onset of puberty, but women tend to first notice it around menopause when hair loss typically increases.”

Some popular celebs including Khloé Kardashian, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Viola Davis have also have experienced hair loss and they openly spoke about that issue.

Jada Pinkett Smith

The 50-year-old Girls Trip star first explained her hair loss on the “Red Table Talk” show in 2018. She openly spoke about her health condition and stated, “It was terrifying when it first started,” she said. “I was in the shower one day and had just handfuls of hair in my hands and I was just like, ‘Oh my god, am I going bald?’ ”

She also said, “It was one of those times in my life where I was literally shaking in fear. That’s why I cut my hair, and why I continue to cut it.” She also shared a photo of the haircut on Instagram. She wrote a caption, “Willow made me do it because it was time to let go, BUT…my 50s are ’bout to be divinely lit with this shed.” Now her hairstyle might become a trend after the Oscar 2022 incident.

Khloé Kardashian

After suffering from COVID-19, Khloé Kardashian admitted to losing hair drastically. She said in an interview, “It happened in chunks, and it was like two or three weeks after I had COVID. I was really bummed—you don’t feel good about yourself.” Now the star is making lifestyle changes to get her hair back.

Viola Davis also experienced hair loss due to alopecia at the age of 28. The actress said in an interview, “I woke up one day, and it looked like I had a Mohawk. Big splash of bald on the top of my head,” This sudden loss of hair made Davis more conscious. She said, “I am telling you, I have spent so much of my life not feeling comfortable in my skin. I am just so not there anymore,” She also explained, “It was a crutch, not an enhancement. I was so desperate for people to think that I was beautiful. I had to be liberated from that [feeling] to a certain extent.”
